This email from high school junior Meghan Cum of Stockbridge, MA says it all:

As you may know, I wrote an essay about the medical research behind the new drug for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy for my chemistry class. All the essays were entered into a competition. Well, I’m glad to say, I won. There is a dinner honoring the winners that I would like to invite you to. I will be saying a short speech about the essay and I believe I will be receiving my prize of $500.00 there which I would like to donate to Charley’s Fund.
